Heather R. Kauffman received her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree in 1994 from the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL. She returned to Wyoming shortly thereafter to reopen the practice of the late Dr. Delmer S. Woods. She is also a fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture and consults on a part time basis for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
Dr. Kauffman was born in Washington but grew up in Cheyenne. She graduated from East High School and attended undergraduate classes at both LCCC and the University of Wyoming. She became interested in chiropractic when she saw the benefits it provided to a family member with a herniated disc without the need for narcotics or surgery. She worked for Dr. Woods as an assistant which solidified her interest to become a chiropractor herself. She has one daughter, Rayann.
Dr. Kauffman started Kauffman Chiropractic in 1994 and has been in active practice at the same location since that time. It is very important to her that each patient be treated with respect and honesty and she has built her practice on that mantra. She feels that only by spending time with a patient can a doctor truly understand the needs of that patient. She treats all conditions from simple spinal stiffness to disc problems, shoulder and knee pain, hip pain and nerve compression injuries like carpal tunnel syndrome.
“The doctor of the future will give no medication, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.” ― Thomas A. Edison
